ISRAEL CHARITY TRIP

SEPTEMBER 29-OCTOBER 11, 2021

NEWSLETTERS

NEWSLETTER MAY 17, 2021

Thank You, LORD, for our dear friends, pray-ers, mishpocha (family) and partners.
We are so grateful to God for you. Thank you for your prayers, care, support, encouragement, interest, and blessings. These are perilous times in our world. Even though the news changes hourly in Israel, God is on the throne and He who keeps Israel, neither slumbers nor sleeps.

We continue to bless the Israel of God, in the name of the God of Israel. We are shipping items from Texas and from other places in the United States, to bless those in Israel.Because we do not get a paycheck, we send YOUR donations direct to Israel. We do focus on those ministries in Israel, who lift up the name of Yeshua, the Name above All Names!

Here is a note from Dov, who oversees the lovely work in Tel Aviv, among the homeless, prostitutes and drug addicts. "Many of you have sent us letters and messages asking if we are ok. We are very grateful for your care and prayers! I remember my first experience of running to a bomb shelter in 1973 during the Yom Kippur war, only two years after immigrating to Israel. It was a surreal experience for me, then a 14-year-old boy. Today, on the other hand, I feel I have almost got used to it…

We have a bomb shelter on every floor of our building. There are two more families living on the same floor as we do, and both have small kids. At first the kids were quite frightened, but then after the parents brought a crib, colorful pictures and other nice staff into the shelter, turning it into a kind of children’s playroom, the kids relaxed and we could all chat and play together. The streets of Beesheva are empty; people go out only for urgent reasons.

SUDDENLY Usually these armed conflicts happen and we never know if the situation will improve in a matter of days or will develop into a combat that will last for weeks. What differs the present situation from the previous escalations is definitely the number of rockets fired at different Israeli cities, including Beersheva. Before we would hear two-three explosions after a siren, but now we hear 20-30 explosions at once, and that is why some rockets do hit some people’s homes as the “Iron Dome” system is unable to intercept 100% of them. And it is very sad when innocent people get hurt – on both sides… Another big difference, of course, are violent clashes inside the country - between Jews and Arabs, including the Bedouins from the villages next to Beersheva. In some cities the police have practically started losing control and people are afraid to go outside.

Our ministry, however, including the outreach in Tel Aviv, continues. We have teams from different parts of Israel coming to serve in Aviv Center, and each team decides whether it is safe enough for them to come on any given day. Please pray for the safety of the street people we minister to and for all our volunteers. Sar Shalom Israel plan to serve in late September.

Sandy from Be'ad Chaim, Pro-life in Jerusalem, shares "We are finally renewing our monthly mothers’ meetings! We are very excited to have our first meeting after over a year without any. Next Wed., May 12th, we will train moms about infant care and other skills. Please pray for God to use this to touch hearts.

-We praise God for calls to our hotline and ask God to bring eyes to our Facebook pages/ to increase our YouTube influence/ and to use other social media to bring us calls from those in need and crisis. Many mothers birth babies who have special needs. Your donations help these mommies.

We are excited to return to Israel soon. So far, five ministry trips have been postponed BUT we are making plans to return. As soon as Israel allows us to return, we will go. We currently have a large group also ready to go for late September. Anyone can serve with us. We all raise our own support and all donations are tax deductible. NO ONE GETS A PAYCHECK. We all serve from the heart.

We say thank you to our wonderful accountant, Moi! She does not get a paycheck. After the donations come in, I log them in two excel sheets. When I deposit your donations, Moi enters all of the content into quickbooks. She has been amazing. Because of her work, we have gained the approval again of the ECFA, the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability. Most ministries who join the ECFA have hefty ministries, but Sar Shalom Israel believes that accountability should be in any area, small or large.

Father, in the name of Yeshua Jesus, the name above every name, we thank You. Father, thank You for hearing our prayers regarding Israel. We honor You for Your faithfulness. We thank You so much for Your covenant love. We thank You for your covenant regarding Israel. We acknowledge that it is Your protection that has kept Israel all these years. Thank You, thank You, thank You. Please continue to give protection to Israel, we stand in the gap and pray for the peace of Jerusalem, the peace of the country, the peace of the region, the peace of the borders. Please protect Your people and we pray for the salvation of Israel as well.

Here is a beautiful song, first written by Pat Boone. Exodus. Exodus by Marty Goetz
May God bless you. We love you! Thank you for caring, thank you for praying, thank you for giving, thank you for your encouragement. All glory go to God for the great things He is going to do.
Shalom in Yeshua,
